These mold cavities are made with hardened tools that have been machined to the net shape of the die casting parts.<\/p>\n<p>The injection of the molten metal into the mold cavities is a high-pressure process. The high pressure forces the molten metal into intimate contact with the walls inside of the mold cavities. The high-pressure packing of the surface of the mold\u2019s cavities makes it hard to get the die casting part out of the mold.
