{New Post} LAVC Manufacturing Day with Congressman Tony Cárdenas

Filed under: Cast Parts — Editor @ 5:00 am

Hello Kineticdc Update to Cast Parts,

{New Post} LAVC Manufacturing Day with Congressman Tony Cárdenas

On Friday October 21, 2016 Kinetic Die Casting Company was one of the manufacturing companies that participated in the Los Angeles Valley College LAVC Manufacturing Day with Congressman Tony Cárdenas. This was the MANUFACTURING SHOWCASE, that included Training & Career Opportunities. There were from 200 to 250 high school kids at the event. We are hoping that many of them will look into manufacturing as a possible career course. There were also several unemployed adults that are participating in the LAVC retraining program. This event was a huge success.

This is a message from our Congressman Mr. Cárdenas:

“Throughout my twenty years in public service, and as a former small business owner, my goal has always been to support the growth of small and mid-sized businesses in the San Fernando Valley. Knowing just how critical small businesses are to our community and the U.S. economy, I would like to personally invite you to attend a Manufacturing Day Event on October 21st that I am hosting. Special guests include Dr. Erika Endrijonas, President of Los Angeles Valley College; Mr. Richard Brent, CEO of Louroe Electronics, who is a member of the District Export Council of Southern California and the 2015 winner of the U.S. President’s Export Achievement Award; Sector Strategies Manager of Goodwill SoCal Tracy DiFilippis; and Assistant Principal of North Valley Occupational Center Liz Peñuela. Our goal is to foster a robust conversation around manufacturing, and I know your perspective will provide much value.”

Kinetic Die Casting brought samples of die casting parts as well as brochures and business cards for people to get interested in manufacturing. We also had about 20 pounds of candy that kept the 200 to 250 high school kids coming back to our table.

Kinetic Die Casting Company (KDC) is an aluminum part and zinc part manufacturing company. We produce these metal parts using a manufacturing process called die casting. Kinetic Die Casting Company is an American Jobshop Aluminum Die Casting Company. A jobshop die casting company produces metal die casting parts for OEM’s (Original Equipment Manufacturers) for their products. A Die Casting Company uses a process in which a molten metal alloy is injected with a die casting machine under force using considerable pressure into a steel die casting mold or die casting die to produce aluminum die casting parts. Metal Casting

Metal Casting is a Part of Life. We might not know it but metal casting has been a part of our lives for an elongated time, 6000 years as a matter of fact. In 3200 BC copper frog confirms it. Nevertheless, since the processes and terminologies concerned are too technical for the laymen, they appear to have just trusted the experts or the manufacturers when it comes to their metal casting requests. People would rather just have a completed product than learn the traditions and way of manufacturing these metal cast products.

Aluminum is the metal of choice for many casters today. This is owing to the fact that aluminum casting process is more valuable than other methods in terms of expenses, process and manufactured goods outcome. Aluminum casting process handles to create aluminum cast parts that are of a lot of shapes and sizes. Even intricate shapes can be reached with this process. This is owing to the fact that aluminum is incredibly lightweight, extremely stable, has excellent mechanical properties, has great conductivity and manages to uphold its power even at extreme temperatures.

Furthermore, there are countless types of metals casting procedures. These metal procedures are incessant casting, die casting, green sand casting, dry sand casting, permanent mold casting, plaster casting, investment casting, lost foam process, hot isostatic pressing and squeeze casting. Only very little metals are competent of being used for all methods and aluminum is one of those metals. This causes aluminum a perfect metal for use in casting. No wonder it has become very accepted to the metal casters of today.

{New Post} Rangers Die Casting History by Kineticdc

Filed under: Cast Parts — Editor @ 6:00 am

Hello Kineticdc Update to Cast Parts,

{New Post} Rangers Die Casting History by Kineticdc

Sadly, Rangers Die Casting Company is closed. Another California die casting parts manufacturing company is closed. Rangers has been around for a long time. I am personally saddened that Rangers is closed. The owners and managers contributed a lot of time and resources to the local die casting community.

Here is the history I found on their website.

Rangers Die Casting Company 10828 S. Alameda Street Lynwood, CA 90262-0127 was founded in 1946 by three die makers with a passion for quality tooling and that tradition continues today. Rangers Die Casting initially was involved in the production of several different toys. The first was the die for a rubber toy reproduction of the Army Ranger knife, which was the basis for our company name. We also produced cast metal jacks and a replica of the Offenhauser Midget race car that remains today as the Rangers Die Casting logo.

After several years, the toy business began to fade and we repositioned ourselves as a full-service aluminum die caster serving the growing automotive and aerospace markets in Southern California. Over the next six decades, Rangers Die Casting continued to modernize, invest in new equipment and develop services to meet the needs of Original Equipment Manufacturers throughout the West Coast. We provide these companies with a wide range of aluminum die cast parts, aluminum die castings, aluminum alloy castings and metal castings. In addition, Rangers Die Casting offers complete turnkey service including aluminum die cast product design assistance, die cast design, precision aluminum alloy die casting, machining, finishing and assembly of cast aluminum components.
